Agricology & Royal Agricultural University Open Day

Join Agricology & the Royal Agricultural University in the field at Harnhill Innovation Farm, Cirencester. This is an opportunity to see sustainable farming in action in organic and conventional systems.

Topics on the farm walk will include;

– Tillage (trials comparing plough, min-till and no till)

– Integrating livestock in the rotation

– Managing stockless organic

– Mechanical weed control

– Intercropping, companion cropping and undersowing

– Building soil health

 

Come along and share ideas and experiences with the farmers and researchers working towards more sustainable farming systems. Speakers include Tony Norris (Farm Manager) Nicola Cannon (RAU), James Hares, David Main (Hennovation), Katie Bliss (DIVERSify & Agricology), and Alastair Leake (GWCT), Dr Christine Watson (SRUC), Richard Smith (Daylesford), Lizzee Sagoo (ADAS), Tony Norris, James Alexander (Innovative Farmers) amongst others.
